I love to eat scones, but sometimes I find ones that are just too dry. I watched an episode of Cook's Country the other day, and they made what looked like tasty berry scones! I made them, and they were tasty!! Mixed Berry Scones  Ingredients  Scones  1 3/4 cups frozen mixed berries 3 Tbsp confectioners' sugar 3 cups all purpose-flour 12 Tbsp unsalted butter, cut into 1/2-inch pieces, chilled 1/3 cup granulated sugar 1 Tbsp baking powder 1 1/4 tsp salt 3/4 cup plus 2 Tbsp whole milk 1 large egg plus 1 large yolk Glaze  2 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted 1 Tbsp honey Directions 1. For the Scones  Adjust your oven rack to the middle position and heat the oven to 425 degrees F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. The weather has been getting colder lately, so I wanted to find another soup recipe. Ingredients   1/2 cup chopped onion 2 stalks celery, chopped 1 carrot, diced 1/4 cup butter 1 1/2 Tbs all-purpose flour 1 1/2 tsp curry powder 4 cups chicken broth 1/2 apple, cored and chopped ( I took the skin off. Homemade Starbucks Green Tea Frappuccino

One of my husband's favorite drinks at Starbucks is the Green Tea Frappuccino, so I was so happy when I found this copycat recipe!!!!! https://www.foodfanatic.com/recipes/homemade-starbucks-green-tea-frappuccino-recipe/  Homemade Starbucks Green Tea Frappuccino Ingredients  1 cup ice cubes 1 cup milk, soy or almond milk 1 Tbsp Matcha tea powder ( I used Teavana Matcha) 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract 2 Tbsp granulated sugar sweetened whipped cream, optional Directions  1. In a blender, place the ice cubes, milk, green tea powder, vanilla extract, and sugar. Blend well. 2. Pour into a glass and top with whipped cream, if desired.

Applesauce

I just went apple picking recently, and I was trying to figure out what to do with all those apples! I used to eat applesauce quite frequently as a kid, sooo....applesauce it is!!! Here is a recipe I adapted from Betty Crocker Cookbook- Heart Health Edition c2007 (p. 468) Applesauce Ingredients  (approx. 6 servings) 4 medium cooking apples (1 1/3 lb), peeled, cut into fourths and cored ( I used Honeycrisp apples and cut them up into smaller chunks so they would cook faster.) 1/4 cup water 1/4 cup packed brown sugar or 3-4 Tbsp granulated sugar ( I used brown sugar) 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg ( I totally forgot to get this at the store, so I used about 3 whole cloves instead.) Directions  1. In a 3 1/2-to 6-quart slow cooker, mix all of the ingredients. Cover and cook on the High heat setting for about 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours or until the apples are tender; stir. (My apples took about 2 hours to cook.)

Meatloaf is such a great comfort food, especially with cold weather! I love Indian food, don't you?! I wanted to try making curry chicken, not from the jar, so my husband found this recipe for me to make. I made banana bread recently, so I decided to stay with the trend and make banana muffins! Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Coat a muffin pan with non-stick spray/ melted butter or use paper liners. Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; set aside. 2. Combine the mashed bananas, sugar, egg, and melted butter in a large bowl. Fold in the flour mixture, and mix until smooth. Scoop into the muffin pan. ( I used an ice cream scooper.) 3. Popeyes is one of my favorite places to get crispy fried chicken, but sometimes it's hard to find one around, or I start feeling unhealthy just thinking about it!! My husband found this healthier recipe to help me when I have fried chicken cravings! Ever have a craving for really good Italian food?! I had a huge craving for some chicken parmesan, so I found this recipe!
