Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup
Why not combine tacos and soup?!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup
Ingredients
1 onion, chopped
1 16 oz can chili beans
1 15oz can black beans
1 15 oz can whole kernel corn, drained
1 8oz can tomato sauce
1 12 fluid oz can/bottle of beer
2 10 oz cans diced tomatoes with green chiles, undrained
1 (1.25 oz) package taco seasoning
3 whole, boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 (8 oz) package shredded cheddar cheese ( optional)
sour cream (optional)
crushed tortilla chips (optinal)
Directions
1. Place the onion, chili and black beans, corn, tomato sauce, beer, and diced tomatoes into a slow cooker.
2. Add the taco seasoning and stir.
3. Put the chicken breasts on top of the mixture. Press slightly so the chicken is covered slightly by the mixture.
4. Set the slow cooker on low heat, cover, and cook for 5 hours.
5. After 5 hours, Remove the chicken breasts from the soup and place on a plate to allow them to cool long enough so they can be handled. Shred the chicken.
6. Stir the shredded chicken back into the soup and continue cooking for about 2 hours.
Serve the soup topped with shredded cheese, sour cream, and crushed tortilla chips. You can also add a slice of avocado!
