Best Steak Marinade in Existence

I bought a tabletop grill for my husband Mark's birthday, so we knew we had to test it out asap! I voted to grill up some steaks! Mark found a recipe on allrecipes.com  called the Best Steak Marinade in Existence. I agree with the name!

This recipe is adapted from http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Best-Steak-Marinade-in-Existence/Detail.aspx?event8=1&prop24=SR_Title&e11=the%20best%20steak%20marinade&e8=Quick%20Search&event10=1&e7=Home%20Page

Ingredients

1/3 cup soy sauce                                  1 teaspoon ground white pepper (we used black pepper to taste)
1/2 cup olive oil                                    1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce (optional- we didn't use this)
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice                      1 teaspoon dried minced garlic (optional- we didn't use this)
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons garlic powder
3 tablespoons dried basil
1 1/2 tablespoons dried parsley flakes

Directions

1. Stir the soy sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, basil, parsley, and pepper in a lage bowl. (Add hot pepper sauce and garlic, if desired.)

2. Place your chosen meat (we used top sirloin filets)  in the bowl with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for up to 8 hours. ( We refrigerated our meat overnight.)

3. Cook meat as desired.
