Firecracker Grilled Alaska Salmon
My favorite fish is salmon, and I like it plain Jane, but Mark likes it with a kick, so he found this recipe. I'm so glad he did, because this recipe is tangy and a little spicy! http://allrecipes.com/recipe/firecracker-grilled-alaska-salmon/
We've modified this recipe just a little bit, especially since we baked the salmon instead of grilling it.
Ingredients
16 oz salmon fillet
1/2 cup oil oil
4 tablespoons soy sauce
4 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
4 tablespoons green onions, chopped
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
2 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions
1. Place salmon in a medium, glass dish. In a separate medium bowl, combine olive oil, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, green onions, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, red pepper flakes, sesame oil and salt.
Whisk together and pour over salmon. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 4-6 hours.
2. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place a piece of tin foil on the bottom of a metal baking pan.
Place cold salmon on the tinfoil and cover with the marinade.
3. Bake marinated salmon for approximately 19 minutes in the oven.
