Peppered Shrimp Alfredo

It was time again for another great shrimp recipe! My husband found this one, and we adapted it from all recipes.com. Peppered Shrimp Alfredo  Ingredients 12 oz penne pasta 1/4 cup butter 2 tbs extra-virgin olive oil 1 onion, diced 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 red bell pepper, diced 1 lb medium shrimp, peeled and deveined 1 (15 oz) jar Alfredo sauce 1/2 cup grated Romano cheese 1/2 cup cream 1 tsp cayenne pepper, or more to taste salt and pepper to taste 1/4 cup chopped parsley Directions  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain. 2. Meanwhile, melt butter together with the olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in onion, and cook until softened and translucent, about 2 minutes. Stir in the garlic and red pepper. Ragland Road Irish Brown Bread with Guinness Reduction

One of my new favorite restaurants is Ragland Road, located in Disney Springs in Orlando, FL. Their Irish brown bread with Guinness reduction is fantastic, so when I saw this copycat recipe, I just had to make it! My husband and I wanted to try a new recipe, so we decided to make a shrimp boil! We found a great recipe on food network.com! Shrimp Boil  Ingredients 2 lemons, halved, plus wedges for serving 1/2 cup Old Bay Seasoning 8 cloves garlic, shells left on 1 large red onion, quartered 6 sprigs fresh thyme 1 lb baby red potatoes/ purple potatoes 4 ears corn, husked and snapped in half 1 1/4 lbs large shrimp, unpeeled, deveined, rinsed 2 tablespoons unsalted butter hot sauce, for serving (optional) Directions  1. Fill a large pot with 4 quarts of water. Squeeze the lemon juice into the water and add the squeezed lemon halves. Add the Old Bay, garlic, onion, and thyme. Cover and bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook about 5 minutes. 2. Add the potatoes to the pot and cook until just tender, about 10 minutes. Add the corn and cook 5 more minutes. 3.
